if you’ve ever ventured over to kem meyer’s blog, you know a few things.
1) she loves leadership 2) she loves the local church 3) she loves communication.
she wrote a book too. it’s called “less clutter, less noise.” you can see an interview about it here.
here’s the deal. on may 29 I am going to be featuring Kem on this blog. she’ll be answering a question of mine, and then i’ll give away a copy of her book to a reader.
all you need to do to enter to win the book is comment your name and email addy.
i know, i know…pretty kickin’ awesome. see ya on the 29th.
what i’m praying for
i LOVE conferences. straight up. i think they’re awesome.
northridge church is hosting their annual change without compromise conference. hundreds of church leaders are here soaking in all that brad is giving them. one of the things we have the honor of doing is praying for these people before, during, and after it’s all said and done. here’s what i’m praying for
rest. a time to get away from whatever routine is and have a change in scenary. this is needed. this is valuable.
revelation. i’m praying that these people get a word from God. that the holy spirit would use brad to speak into situations and breathe new learnings into them…new perspective…new vision.
so that’s it. that is what i’m praying for.
it has begun…
Mini-Stix
velocity had a guys all nighter last night. we have them roughly 2-3 times a year. they’re crazy. you never know what’s going to happen at these things. last night was no exception…a couple of our students brought the necessary gear for mini-stix. here’s a quick photo…

all in one
now you can have your latte and get a tan at the same place.

photo
i’ve been reading through the book of Acts. there was some crazy stuff going on during that time!!
i snapped this photo at TWL during my mini-vaca

vaca day two
I started the day with a lovely walk around the lake. it’s only about a 1 mile walk…but it was enjoyable.

i started playing basketball at the indoor gym…then i realized that it was 65 and sunny outside. i quickly switched courts.

i sat in this chair for roughly 2 hours reading “It” by Craig Groeschel. quality read. (this also resulted in me getting some serious sun)

the hot tub. yes, please, and thank you.

ended the day with a blizzard from dairy queen while watching the sunset

vaca day one
as i stated in my last post, i’m takin a break from routine and getting away.
unplug to recharge
it’s going to be a great week. i’m leaving for vacation.
even though i won’t be on a beach, this photo sums up what i’m looking forward.
relaxation.
i’ll keep this blog updated periodically as well as give ya some twitter updates…but all in all i’m unplugging to do some recharging
