Here are some pics of Velocity, our High School Ministry here at NorthRidge Church.

This year’s fall retreat for Velocity has been a blast.  God has shown up in amazing ways!  The pic above is of Josh Collesano leading us in a reflective time of worship.  He is so talented and I am blessed to be doing ministry with him.

This weekend is Velocity’s fall retreat.  It is a 3 day, 2 night get-a-way designed for High School students.  We’ll be back Sunday afternoon, just in time to hear Tony Tice speak at our Velocity program.

We arrived at Lake James to find the sound equipment was not exactly what we thought.  No worries though, a trip to Fort Wayne’s Guitar Center can fix anything!  We went to GC, got the stuff we needed, and was back with enough time to run through the set just to make sure everything sounded good.  Overall the first session was great.  The guys and myself are exhausted but we all agree that it is a privilege and honor to lead worship this weekend.

Now if I can only make time to work on my talk for tomorrow night…

Today I am heading to Angola, IN to lead worship at the Grapevine Project. It should be a great weekend!  I’ll be back just in time to put on a Mic and give a talk about integrity to the High School students of Velocity.

Tonight was NorthRidge’s Baptism service.  I absolutely love how we do baptism.  Watching people get baptized while worshipping with the band is an amazing experience!  People truly connected with God.  The night really got me excited for this weekend.

I am currently not shaving my facial hair.  I suppose it’s one of those “manly” things.

We’ll see how long it lasts.

I took a few of our students from Velocity to Gleaners today.  We went to the Taylor location.  Overall we stuffed 420 bags with crackers, fruit snacks, and any other snack you can think of…all for kids who don’t have the luxury of having a “snack.”

It is always fun reconnecting with old friends that you haven’t seen in a while.  I went to Bahama Breeze tonight and enjoyed some live music and good conversation.
